Why Energy & Carbon audit program?
Climate change is undoubtedly the single biggest challenge facing mankind today. Our excessive dependence on fossil fuels like coal, petroleum and natural gas has led us to a stage where rapid and drastic action is needed to avoid the serious impacts of climate change. New infrastructure in the form of buildings along with transport contribute to more than half of the global greenhouse gas emissions and any solution to the problem cannot ignore the above two sectors. The Energy & Carbon audit program targets the key institutions in urban areas that are heavy energy consumers with a large carbon footprint. Reducing their energy consumption and subsequently the carbon emissions will go a long way in encouraging environmentally friendly practices across schools, colleges, hotels, hospitals and many more.
